Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV’s) are selling pretty well…just not as well as hoped for. (Tesla still owns over 56% of the BEV new car market.)
What do you do when sales are lagging? You pivot.
GM is announcing a possible return to the popular Chevy Volt (PHEV) and more hybrids to come. Ford is said to be following Toyota’s lead on hybrids (Toyota’s deep experience should count for something — they were the first guys to come out with a regular hybrid in 2001 – the Prius).
